India, Nigeria emerge as contenders to host 2030 Commonwealth Games

India and Nigeria are vying to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games, submitting formal bids by the August deadline. Ahmedabad is India's proposed host city for the centenary edition. A Commonwealth Sport Evaluation Commission will assess the bids, with a final decision expected at the General Assembly in Glasgow this November, following Canada's withdrawal due to budget concerns.
